Summer Floppy Hat Photo Project

My current project: Summer Floppy Hat Photo Project for 2023, 2024 and beyond.

We had about half a dozen old floppy hats sitting and collecting dust for the past few years. The debate ranged from recycling them to donating them to a local thrift store. Instead, I decided to use them for my summer photo project. I'm glad I did.

For this project, I am taking photos of only women who wear floppy hats. Most of the people who posed for me are not professional models. They are friends and people I meet in my day to day activities. If I see a female sporting a floppy hat, usually I will ask them and most are happy to say yes.

Several of my floppy hat portraits were taken at the Ottawa Bluesfest, where I volunteer as a photographer. A few others have been on my photo walks. The women I have photographed have also gave me their permission to display their on my website and social media platforms.

Conclusion
