Photo Walk to the

Brockville Tall Ships Festival

On Sunday, June 22-2025, five intrepid souls drove down highway 416 to take part in the Brockville Tall Ship Photo Walk.  Two had to leave a little early, one got lost, so there were only 2 of us left for lunch.  We ate at 1000 Island Brewery.

I also volunteered on the Friday and Saturday taking photos for the Tall Ship Organizing Committee and on Sunday (as I wrote above) we had out photo walk.  As usual, I too way too many photos, close to 2000 shots.  I'll  post a few here and a some different ones on my photo walk page called Meet, Street and Eat on Facebook as well as my Instagram page.

Brockville is about an hours drive south of Ottawa on Highway 416. At the 401, head east for a couple of inches – about 20 odd kilometres.

Th Tall Ships Festival takes place every three years.  Festival organizers are expecting up to40,000 visitors, over the entire weekend.

About 9 talk ships came to Brockville, including Fair Jeane, a brigantine rig based in Ottawa, Empire Sandy, and Play Fair, both from Hamilton and Soumaris from Montreal.

The rest were American tall ships.  The sleekest looking one was the Pride of Baltimore, with it's steeply raked masts.
